The estate is open to private bookings for small groups only. Any stay is bespoke to you and no generic ‘package’ is offered. Instead, we will arrange staff, bedrooms and entertainment to ensure that, whilst you are here at least, you can truly try a new way of living: #livelikeagentleman
Playing at Ashcombe Estate
With its deep combes and steep slopes, the estate has a long history of providing high and testing targets for the keen shot. The estate now offers simulated game days that are second to none, combining testing clay targets with stunning scenery and a sumptuous menu to keep the team fuelled and fed. For a quieter experience, spend a day at the lakes to enjoy trout fishing, paddle boarding or wild swimming in a completely private and unique setting. Meanwhile a flight in a two-seater Spitfire from our airfield at Compton Abbas offers a chance to see the estate from another angle altogether.
Relaxing at Ashcombe
With bespoke saunas, hot tubs and hand-built treatment rooms dotted around the lakes, there is no better place to relax and unwind in total silence. For those determined to maximise the effect, a traditional banya treatment can be organised to rejuvenate both body and mind. Or allow us to arrange for a lakeside or woodland yoga session, meditate in the dark sky reserve, or simply stroll through ancient woodland and enjoy the incredible views.
Eating at Ashcombe
As home to the creator of the famous WildKitchens, it is no surprise that a visit to the estate includes opportunities to cook (or be cooked for) and eat around one. Our chefs are highly experienced operators and love to provide immersive lakeside cooking experiences over fire. Alternatively, the Studio and Farmhouse each have their own dining rooms perfect for sitting down with friends to enjoy perfectly tailored meals made of delicious local ingredients, perhaps paired with wines selected during a visit to the private cellar. For larger groups, the Old Brewery Hall contains a long table in front of an open kitchen and wood fired oven for a spectacular setting in which to entertain.
